Why migrate?
The decision was taken to move the classic old FEG to our new inhouse tech called SmartDeFi, as we needed to evolve our project from a simple token to an actual powerhouse in DeFi packed with features like asset backing, smartlending, new staking with immense possibilities for passive income and more.
General info about the migration
If you currently hold FEG on a centralized exchange (CEX) platform like Gate, the migration process will be automatic, and you don't need to take any additional action. Stay updated with the social media channels of the exchange platforms to learn more about their migration schedule.
However, if you hold your FEG tokens in your personal wallet (generally recommended), the FEG team has developed a user-friendly Migration app for seamless token swapping. You can follow these steps:

On the page, you will find the Migration app. It is designed to be intuitive and straightforward to use.
If you need assistance, we have prepared video tutorials and written guides with accompanying images to guide you through the process.
The migration steps are similar across different platforms, and you can use any DeFi wallet you prefer.
We recommend using Chrome with Wallet Connect to connect your wallet during migration for optimal results.
Following these steps, you can easily swap your old FEG tokens for new ones. The video tutorials and written guides will support you if you require further assistance.
Note: The entire supply of new FEG is 100B per chain; as such, your old FEG will be migrated to new FEG in a 1 million to 1 ratio ( 1.000.000:1 ) . Do not worry; you will own precisely the same percentage of new FEG as you own old FEG, as such you will not lose any money.

However, it is crucial to remember to never respond to any direct messages (DMs) claiming to be from the FEG team, as these are 100% scams. Always exercise caution and rely on the official communication channels the FEG team provides.
